St. Matthew the Apostle
Episcopal Church

Welcome to St. Matthew the Apostle Episcopal Church in South Miami.
We hope you will join us in person very soon!
The Episcopal Church is known as a “bridge tradition” because it encompasses both the Catholic and Protestant traditions in one spiritual family. We are members of the worldwide Anglican Communion; along with 85 million other Anglican Christians throughout the world. Wherever you are on your journey in faith, there is a place here for you. Come and experience the love of God with us as we worship, serve, and seek to follow the way of Jesus together.
All are welcome!

2024 Thanksgiving Baskets Drive
St. Matthew’s Church will once again participate in the Thanksgiving Baskets Drive in conjunction with St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Palmetto Bay.
We have committed to donate 40 Thanksgiving Baskets to families in need.
Each basket will contain a fixed menu of items and will be packed in sturdy boxes. For more information on how to donate click here.
Distribution will take place in the Parish Hall on Sunday November 23 beginning at 11:30 AM after Sunday services.
Stewardship Season
Sunday November 23rd will be Pledge Sunday at St. Matthew’s.
An essential part of each person’s spiritual journey is stewardship. A pledge is an aspect of stewardship. It is given in response to God’s love and in gratitude and support of this community.
Pledge cards are being sent out in the mail and are available at the back of the church. Please take one and thoughtfully and prayerfully consider what commitment God is calling you to make this coming year. No pledge is too big or too small.
We look forward to joining with all who consider St. Matthew their church home as we joyfully make our 2026 commitment to the church on
November 23.
Please come to Parish Hall after the service on November 23 as we share our abundant blessings with needy families in our community who will be coming to receive a Thanksgiving Basket.
Autumn Sunday Forums
This Autumn our Sunday Forums will focus on Prayer and Worship. Please come to Parish Hall after our Sunday service. The forums will commence following a brief Coffee Hour.
